Introduction
Welcome to the Centre for Research and Development in Open Technology (CRDOT). CRDOT provides an environment for research and development of open source products through collaboration with the open source community, business and other academic institutions.
The CRDOT members have varying skill sets and are very pragmatic, thereby making the centre an integration point for research, knowledge, education, and relationships within the open source community.
Our services, research and development are all grounded in the open source principles - transparency, community participation and collaboration. The CRDOT supports open standards, open access and open source in order to distribute our work as widely as possible and to encourage broad participation in our initiatives. All our work is collaborative.
Our research interests include, but are not limited to:
- Open Standards efforts relating to mobility technologies and mobile applications development.
- Multimodal and multi-channel access, context awareness, Web 2.0 and mobile applications.
- Next Generation Network (NGN) applications and services.
